I'm growing less and less concerned with how Rob Bell paints it and much more concerned with how God paints it, through His son, and I'm finding that back in the place where I started....not the institutional church, but Gods word.

Angela,

I love how you captured this. I, too, am so over the whiners debate and wagon circling. What ARE we about rather than against? What do we VALUE? In WHOM does our FAITH (p.s. that means a bit of unknown)rest? WHY does that cause us to celebrate, to worship?

Those latter three questions frame the dialogue I am hungry for. Frankly I don't care whether you are pre, mid or post trib. (Do you even know what that means? :) I care about whether people are being freed to experience the reality of the heart and character of God. His truth, His grace, His patience and His love are what truly sets us free...

Angela, we are all in different places. I hear your frustration. You hear mine too I'm sure. There are some challenging issues in Christianity. By everyone offering ideas, we see where people are coming from. I like reading what you have to write. It challenges me and I don't agree with some of it but who cares, that's where you are at.

God is love. God is great. He sent His son to establish a Kingdom.

I'm not surprised when Pagans or anyone loves or even just likes Jesus. He was a pretty amazing guy. But to me, He's more than love.
